Oh Father is a meditation on faith, family, and paternal loss. Created in the year of his father's passing- also William, in 2020 2 days before Quigley's April 29th birthday. The work reflects on reverence, grief, and sadness with the loss of his father expressed through the text “Oh Father” which functions as both prayer and celebration. That same month, Quigley was coincidentally and maybe miraculously contacted by former Disney executive William E. Quigley—who shares his name—and together they released a 714-piece NFT drop that sold out in 38 seconds, an event both interpreted as meaningful in relation to the artist’s father's death. Maybe a sign from heaven?
