Forty five minutes before presenting it to Dodger legend Tommy Lasorda in his LA office, John and Johanna Boynton—private collectors and dedicated Red Sox fans from Concord, Massachusetts—contacted Quigley and bought the painting, rejecting the Dodgers' counter offer. Jackie has been proudly showcased in Johanna Boynton's office ever since.
