Originally published 30 prints in 2016 by Pitch Black Editions at $1,000. Prints from this series have sold at auction for $5,500.

This original painting was done in 2012 in Concord, MA and shown numerous times with many enlightening conversations with Lincoln Scholar and author of Team of Rivals, Doris Kearns Goodwin, while Quigley was completing it.

The first Lincoln print was published as an edition of 60 in 2011 by Boston University master printer Aithan Shapira who worked out of Ken Tyler's studio. Benefit events have auctioned 2011 Lincoln prints for as much as $8,800 and are very hard to come by. A second printing of 30 was done in 2011 edition by PitchBlack Editions can sell for as much as $5,500 and has also become very rare.

Quigley began exploring Lincoln after witnessing the Rodney King Riots escalate around his West Hollywood studio on his birthday, April 29, 1992. The rebellion sparked his Civil War Series—using Matthew Brady's powerful images to metaphorically compare 1861 to daily crime in modern America, showing that despite being global leaders, we have not evolved much as humanitarians. Equality, peace, unity, and opposition to racism remain recurring themes in all his work.

3  prints remain from this edition.
