The Notorious RBG. There will be 27 prints commemorating 27 years served on the Supreme Court—numbers like these prove she is a SKRAPPER. Often asked who was one of the most important figures he was honored to paint, Quigley often answers, although never meeting her or having the chance to show her the painting, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 96-3: The Senate confirmation vote on August 3, 1993, making her the second female Justice. 5/6: Cases won out of six argued before the Supreme Court as a lawyer for the ACLU Women's Rights Project. 13: Years served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (1980–1993). 9: Her famous response to when there would be "enough" women on the Supreme Court. 1972: Year she co-founded the Women's Rights Project at the ACLU and became the first tenured female law professor at Columbia Law School. From her groundbreaking work on gender equality to her fierce dissents, RBG was the ultimate SKRAPPER: a 5-foot-tall powerhouse who never backed down, never compromised her principles, and inspired generations to stand up for what's right.

William Quigley was taught by Lee Krasner and Alice Neel at Philadelphia College of Art. Neel, considered one of America's most renowned portrait painters, influenced Quigley profoundly. Like Ginsburg he also attended Columbia Grad and Penn, creating an unexpected connection between artist and subject. Although Krasner, wife of Jackson Pollock, had a profound influence on Quigley's early abstract works, it's interesting how even though focused on abstraction, Picasso ,Goya, Neel and painters like Sargent, Freud, and Francis Bacon have influenced Quigley as much as De Kooning. This piece honors a woman who transformed the law, shattered barriers, and became a symbol of resilience and strength.

Quigley's entire 2011 edition of 60 Lincoln prints has been sold out since 2013. The 2015 edition of 16 is sold out as well. Both now sell for $5,000-$7,000, a clear example of how his prints escalate in value when editions sell out. Don't hesitate on these unique opportunities to collect what is still available.

Published and hand signed in 3 sizes on the highest quality canvas and paper to offer affordable but collectible investment options for art enthusiasts and friends who may struggle with the decision to own a piece of Quigley's work. Making the work accessible. Edition of 27 in 2 sizes.
